Why we created the Access GC tier
When I was a startup founder, I went back to a Big Law firm for legal support. Even with generous “friends and family” discounts, I was still paying around $300 per hour for a paralegal, and roughly four times more for attorney time. That was the only way I knew to get answers I trusted—but it was money from my seed funding that I could not afford to spend.
I created Access GC as a way to give seed and early founders expert general counsel support at a price point that does not swallow their runway. At this stage, I want you putting most of your resources into product and growth, not legal spend. At the same time, with AI‑enabled products, new privacy regulations, and increasingly complex commercial terms, you cannot just wing this stuff anymore. Access GC is structured to give you the legal support you need, so you can move confidently and quickly.

What’s included
- One light-touch document per month: a quick review of one standard agreement or online policy, or light customization of one template from our library.
- One 30‑minute strategy or product call per month for higher‑level strategy, triage, and issue‑spotting on product, data, or commercial questions.
- Reasonable email or Slack follow‑up tied to that month’s review or call (clarifications, short explanations, yes/no guidance on the same matter).
- Access to a curated template library for early‑stage SaaS and AI‑enabled businesses (for your internal business use).
- Flat $1,500/month on a three‑month initial term, built around this defined scope.
What’s not included
- Drafting or negotiating Master Service Agreements (MSAs) or other complex master commercial agreements. If you need an MSA, please see our Product & Contracts Lite GC package.
- Multiple rounds of negotiation or extensive drafting/redlines on any single document.
- Full privacy program design or overhaul, complex regulatory analysis, or multiparty negotiations.
- New standalone projects that go beyond the one light document and one 30‑minute call per month.
- Any work that would be better handled through a separate engagement or a fractional GC block‑of‑hours arrangement.

Access GC is billed at a flat monthly fee of 1,500 dollars, with an initial three-month term. That structure is meant to give you room to test whether this level of ongoing legal support fits your stage, without surprise bills or open-ended hourly invoices.

Absolutely. You can upgrade when you outgrow Access GC. Once you are bumping up against the limits—more complex contracts, repeated negotiations, heavier product and privacy questions—you can move into the Product & Contracts Lite GC package or a deeper fractional GC engagement, and graduate into more comprehensive general counsel support as your risk profile grows.
